Ex-HTC Executives launch Smartphone Startup Kazam will offer free cracked screen replacement and stock Android

Kazam is the newest smartphone company in the market today and former HTC executives Michael Coombes and James Atkins who founded the company knows how tough is it to compete in this segment. They announced the creation of Kazam last June and now they are ready to announce their range of devices, which is a lot. They have revealed a total of seven models that is composed of two high end smartphones under the Thunder line and five lower-end smartphones under the Trooper line.

Thunder Q5.0 specification are not yet released, but the Thunder Q4.5 is equipped with a 1.3GHz, quad-core processor from MediaTek and 1GB of RAM. It has a 4.5 inches screen up front that offers a 854 x 480 resolution. The various Trooper models (X3.5, X4.0, X4.5, X5.0 and X5.5) all lose a pair of cores and half the RAM, with the smaller 3.5- and 4.0-inch versions even opting for lower resolution displays.

It is obvious that Kazam will not be going to compete with the Nexus 5, they will be competing in the lower segment of the market and positioning itself as a consumer-friendly value brand. All the devices have microSD slots to expand the storage and a removable battery in every device. The skin is not heavily branded just pure Android. Each device also has dual SIM slots for flexibility.

Their main marketing strategy is customer support. If you have problem with your device you can easily contact a support rep that can remotely access your device to solve issues. Kazam also promises to replace the screen if you crack it within the first year for free.

The Smartphone market is ruled by Samsung and Apple they dominate the market but that doesn't mean that others can't compete and take a small piece of the pie. Kazam is a European smartphone manufacturer that promises a different approach to mobile devices and services.

Kazam smartphone is set up by two former HTC executives their main objective is to produce phones for the European markets. James Atkins and Michael Coombes left HTC earlier this year to start up Kazam.
